Windows 7 and under
1. press the start button
2. in the search box type "%appdata%"
3. Click on "roaming"
4. open on ".minecraft"
This is your minecraft directory. If it isn't there make sure you have opened minecraft before.
Windows 8 - 8.1
1. Press Windows Key + R
2. type in %Appdata%
3. Click on ".minecraft"
This is your minecraft directory. If it isn't there make sure you have opened minecraft before.
Mac OSX
1. Open Minecraft
2. Click "options"
3. Click "Resource Packs"
4. Click "Resource packs folder"
5. In the finder windows that pops up click up or .minecraft
This is your minecraft directory.
Mac OSX 2nd way
1. Open Finder.app
2. Click "Go" in menubar
3. Then choose "Go to folder..."
4. Type in "~/Library/Application Support/Minecraft" (without quotes)
